Deryn Davidson

Deryn Davidson is the Sustainable Landscape State Specialist for Colorado State University (CSU) Extension. She is a graduate of CSU, earning a B.S. in Horticulture. After working in the horticulture industry for many years, she went on to earn a Master's of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona. She has a passion for native plant horticulture and pollinator conservation that grew during her time as a horticulturist at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. While in Arizona, Deryn worked designing rainwater harvesting systems, and educating the public on rainwater harvesting strategies.

Her current work with Extension includes providing consultation and education to home gardeners and landscape professionals interested in exploring sustainable landscaping practices. She believes that our built environments can serve as urban nature preserves through thoughtful design and horticultural practices.

"There are so many possibilities for positive impact with this role and the education that we can provide."
