NRRT 630 - Protected Areas and Global Conservation

  • 3 credits

Study international categories of protected areas, including those outlined by the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Targets and methods associated with biodiversity conservation help evaluate conservation progress. Explore the economic benefits of protected areas and apply fundamentals of conservation biology (e.g., population dynamics, species niches, and habitat requirements) to the design and management of protected areas.

Prerequisite

Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR)

Requires admission to the Master of Park and Protected Area Management program.
