NRRT 620 - Organizational Management in Tourism

  • 2 credits

Application of management concepts to tourism organizations. Topics include managing ethics, diversity, and globalization; planning, decision-making, and competitive advantage; organizational structure and design; leading individuals and groups, and controlling communication and information technology. Discussions, exercises, and case studies will allow students to apply management principles to the tourism organizations.
This is a partial semester course.

Prerequisite

Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR)

Tenured Professor
Prior to earning his Ph.D. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, Alan Bright earned a BA in Accounting, an MBA, his CPA certificate, and spent several years working in the private sector in public accounting and banking. He teaches numerous business-related courses in the Masters of Tourism Management program, including Tourism Finance, Tourism Law, and Organizational Management in Tourism.
