Thirteenth Annual Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) in Colorado

The BEDC provides a substantial introduction to the theory and fundamentals of comprehensive economic development. The formal instruction emphasizes beneficial development which can result from the constructive actions of local leaders, and revolves around five major themes: innovative community development concepts; regional economics; basic factors in development; techniques of economic development and trends in economic development.

This BEDC is accredited through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Accreditation by IEDC ensures that the BEDC covers subject areas determined to be the core building blocks in any economic development organization.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
