In this course students will explore and apply best practices for designing and facilitating online learning opportunities for distance learners. This course is appropriate for students who currently facilitate distance learning for adults in any post secondary setting or plan to do so in the future.

Dr. Kelly McKenna is an Associate Professor in the Adult Education and Training Program in the School of Education at Colorado State University. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Educational Technology from the University of Northern Colorado. She also holds an M.Ed. in Education and Human Resources Studies with a Specialization in Adult Education and Training and a B.A., both from Colorado State University. Kelly’s research interests lie in the field of adult education, with research objectives aimed to support adult learners in their educational and occupational endeavors by creating optimal learning environments and facilitating successful student experiences. She focuses on distance education, the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning, and learning communities.
