This course provides experience with Java programming. We will learn the basic operations for sequence, selection, and iteration. In addition, we will learn how Java incorporates object-oriented concepts like encapsulation and polymorphism. Secondly, the course will provide some exposure to the principles of data structures. Data structures refer to the way that computers store data. Examples of data structures include arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, and trees. These structures can influence the speed and memory utilization of computer programs. Finally, students will learn how to build a JDBC application using the MySQL Database.
Admission to the MCIS or ME program; Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR).
