ATS 550 - Atmospheric Radiation and Remote Sensing

  • 3 credits

Introduction to the role of remote sensing measurements in observing and monitoring land and ocean, atmospheric temperature, humidity, trace gases, aerosols, clouds, and precipitation. Coverage of the fundamentals of atmospheric radiation to explain a variety of remote sensing techniques, and hands-on experience in collecting real-world data to connect satellite remote sensing theory and practice for weather and climate variables.

MATH 261 (Calculus for Physical Scientists III); PH 142- Physics for Scientists and Engineers II (GT-SC1)
